Medical diagnostics and Raman spectroscopy

Raman Spectroscopy is a powerful technique used in medical applications to analyze biological tissues, cells, and fluids without the need for invasive procedures. It works by shining a laser on a sample and detecting how the light scatters. Some of the scattered light changes in energy due to interactions with the molecules in the sample — this is called the Raman effect. The resulting spectrum provides a unique „fingerprint“ of the molecular composition of the sample.

OBERON provides specialized optical fibers probes for various applications like cancer detection, non-invasive blood or tissue analysis and pharmaceutical applications.
